About Us

IridoTech was founded in 2005 in Los Angeles, CA. Since that time, the founders have invested a significant amount of time, effort and substantial financial resources building biometric tools for humans and dogs. The founders have built and employ a team of highly qualified professionals in the fields of Applied Mathematics, Optics, Electronics, Image Analyses, Expert Systems and other fields of Information Technology. IridoTech developed proprietary software for image acquisition, analysis, and management of biometric information.

The effort is spearheaded by Boris Gill who has earned his Ph.D. degree in 1987 in Applied Hydrodynamics and Aerodynamics and has been teaching the subject of Mathematical Modeling afterwards. He also studied the subject of System Automation and Applied Mathematics extensively, managed the Information Technology Laboratory at his University, and worked extensively since the early 90’s in the fields of digitization and recovery of images and their transformation into standardized formats, Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), Business Process Automation, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, etc.  Boris has held some key management positions such as Senior Director of Operations and has been involved as executive sponsor on numerous customer-facing and R&D projects that resulted in multimillion dollar sales in the past.

The management team also includes Felix Lapidis who brings a wealth of experience in direct sales and marketing as a founder, owner, and manager of a successful commercial and consumer appliance repair business.  Felix brings to IridoTech great interpersonal skills and experience in both corporate and retail consumer sales.  He is heading the company’s Marketing and Operations divisions.
