Welcome to K9 EyeScan

K9 EyeScan is an iris recognition system for the purpose of identifying dogs using an eye scanner. It is 100% non-invasive procedure that is performed in under 1 minute that does not require any training or professional certification. Also part of the solution is the interactive website that will be connected to the “dog” database that is going to provide the participants with social forums and community events but most importantly will allow dog owners to report their pets lost or stolen, announce rewards if found, alert pet shelters and animal control services, get help in printing and posting “lost dog” pictures in their neighborhood, and have direct feed and social media solutions (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

Currently, the only choice for a dog owner to ensure that their pet is identified correctly in case it is lost or stolen is to implant a microchip under a dog’s skin, usually at the back of the neck. The K9 EyeScan solution allows for a non-invasive, one of its kind fully automated biometric procedure that consist of scanning a dog’s iris and storing results of a scan along with pet’s description and pet owner’s information in a database. All that is required is a scanner that is connected to any available computer.

It only takes a minute! Unlike implanting a microchip into a dog’s neck, an iris scan does not require an additional appointment or trained specialists. A dog owner can simply take their dog to an animal shelter or favorite pet store and have it done right away.

Safety is top priority at K9EyeScan. The scan is 100% non-harmful to the dog and takes just 1 minute to complete. The scanner uses a light source that is within the FDA’s regulation of not being harmful to humans. And because human eyes are similar to dog eyes, they aren’t harmful to them either.

The DogWatchers program is an interactive website where dog owners can notify surrounding shelters and other DogWatchers members that their dog is missing. The program allows owners to post a reward and contact information as well as post to Facebook and Twitter so others can get involved.
